As it is Christmas, what would you like to give to APUG members and why? I would like to give an M2 with a 1.4 50mm to all of you, so you may realise how beautiful this machine is.

I'd like to give a workshop in a style or medium that you haven't used before, but have always wanted to try.

I'd give a pro-pack of each user's favorite film, the developer of their choice, and enough free time to go shoot it. Nobody here needs more gear - they need to get off their butts and go burn some film.

AMEN Brother!

+1. Could not possibly have captured my sentiments - or inclinations - more precisely. My gift to each: 120 shooters: A pro-pack each of PanF+ and Tri-X for the black and white shooters; for the color photogs a pro-pack each of Velvia 100 and Portra 160. For the 35mm folks: A brick of Tri-X/HP5+ and a brick of Velvia 50/Ektar 100. For the Large Format crowd: 100 sheet box of Tri-X/HP5+/Portra 160.

Time...and lots of it and +1 on the film front too. Happy Christmas to you all!

A lifetime supply of films of choice.

Nice idea, Clive.

I give two dozen frames to everyone so they may hang their beautiful photos at home for all to see.

Thanks, I'll take you up on the offer :D

A profound sense of satisfaction of a job well done on a favourite print and then starting all over again to explore a different direction  Merry Christmas All!

Paper, a lot of paper to print all those photographs. Oh, and the chemicals needed.

The ability to previsualize the result, and make perfect exposures.

Someone with more motivation than I should re-write The Twelve Days of Christmas with photographic items.

the ability to make a print if it isn't perfect, isn't high contrast
might have grain, mushygrain, blur or handful of things that
might be 180 degrees opposite of what they are used to
and accept it as a good print.

The gift of travel. Nothing gets the shutter clicking like going someplace you've never been before. I love seeing (and occasionally, taking) mundane pictures from faraway lands. To me, a street scene of traffic congestion in Tokyo is fascinating - yet to the average Tokyo resident it's maddening! Yet I can't imagine anything more boring than where I live, Iowa.

Well, actually, Iowa is boring. But you get my jist.

A Peter Lik print.

Actually, how about a helicopter on standby, to get you landscape photographers
to places you wished you could get to, quickly, before the light fades!

To you and yours, perfect light
And the knowledge and ability to use it

Wishing all the the strength to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

St. Francis, the historical one

My second gift to everyone is the ability to see good photos in your everyday life, wherever you may be (even Iowa).

I've been in so many towns where I've asked my neighbors if they have old photos of the area from decades past. They look at me as if to say "why would we take a picture of anything here?"
