No Camera...., but a lens!

My wonderful wife and her sneaky daughter conspired some months ago at Blue Moon Camera and machine. ( http://www.bluemooncamera.com )

I received a 210mm Caltar II-E f6.8 lens with Copal 1 shutter.

Boy! talk about not seeing THAT one coming! Could have knocked me over with a feather!

I was very pleased to get a bottle of Agfa Sistan along with 5 rolls of Neopan 1600 and 20 sheets of Provia 100F in 4x5. I've never seen a 4x5 chrome on the light table in person, so I can't wait to shoot some.

Merry Christmas everybody!

No camera here either, but I did get a lot of photo related stuff: a second back for my Hasselblad, Post Exposure by Ctein, Camera Work: The Complete Photographs, and a color print viewing kit.

So far Post Exposure looks to be excellent, and I'm excited to try out some of the techniques mentioned.

A black body Canonet QL17. Her shutter blades are a little sticky, but her paint is worn in just the right places and she takes nice photos. Only $20, too

I received a brand new Hola 120 camera, with built-in colored flash, woo-hoo! That is the good news. The bad is that I inadvertedly damaged the curtain shutters on my Canon EOS-3 film body....I could just slug myself in the face!

What the heck would I need (outside of a 450 Nikor M LF lens)? Daughters are not in the position to get that so I'll make due with slippers and a new electric shaver.

On the other hand, I got my 13 YO a Minolta 16mm Spy camera. We need to get a couple more spools for film and figure a way how to split 135 film for it, but damn was she excited. (she loves shooting my Zorki 1 and Zeiss Nettar 6x6) (she also wants to join the CIA when she grows up)...

Anyone with extra spools for a Minolta 16mm PMail me please. ( An extra or unneeded film splitter ???)

No photo gear this year, I told my family I have enough, although I got some Amazon gift vouchers I'm going to buy some photographic books with them.
One of my sons bought me a new 4 GB computer with Windows Vista Home Premium, and my other son got me a Samsung 22" flat screen monitor, I'm like a dog with two tails.

No cameras this year as I have more than enough. I did get a nice pair of Italian walking boots and I will probably be carrying a camera when I use them.

The wife got me (that is to say, gave her blessing to buy) a Pentax 67 rig with normal (105 f/2.4) and wide (55 f/4) lenses. Yay!

I got a Kiev 4 with a Jupiter 8 attached. The shutter speeds seems to be accurate (although noise). (But I had to buy myself, I am afraid.)

No cameras or film, but I got a copy of The Printed Picture, which is quite good. I got some cash, to be used for camera related items...probably enlarger related, and I have a few gifts yet to be given or received.

RBPS II DC power supply from Stroboflash.com. This unit makes my old Graflex Strobofash power pack work instead of the old 250Volt batteries that were $80 each. Tested out all my old Stroboflash heads which I picked up on Ebay for almost nothing. They all still fire! I love these old potatoe masher flashes.
