I got a package today from Freestyle with chemicals and film. It was delivered by FEDEX. In the past, some chemistry was considered ORMD and was shipped by UPS Ground. I don't know whether any of the chemistry I ordered is in the ORMD category or whether Freestyle now has the arrangement with FEDEX. In my package was a bottle of FX-39 II. It looks nearly clear. An older bottle which I never opened looks a little darker so I don't know whether I should test it to see if it's still good. I will soon be testing the Wolfen NP100 which came today, maybe with the FX-39 II.

I just got some Rodinal from Freestyle, and it stated right on the webpage that it was ORMD and would ship via ground shipping.

I haven't used FX-39 for a long time, but I do remember that it doesn't last very long after opening. I'd do a clip test to make sure what you have is good.

It may be that freestyle applies that designation to all shipments of liquid chemistry. I’ve only ever ordered Rodinal from Freestyle and my most recent shipment came Fedex Ground.

I can’t speak to FX-39, but Rodinal darkens slightly over time in an unopened bottle.

Oggi ho ricevuto un pacco da Freestyle con prodotti chimici e pellicola. È stato consegnato da FEDEX. In passato, alcune sostanze chimiche erano considerate ORMD e venivano spedite da UPS Ground. Non so se qualcuno dei prodotti chimici che ho ordinato rientri nella categoria ORMD o se Freestyle abbia ora l'accordo con FEDEX. Nel mio pacco c'era una bottiglia di FX-39 II. Sembra quasi chiaro. Una bottiglia più vecchia che non ho mai aperto sembra un po' più scura quindi non so se dovrei provarla per vedere se è ancora buona. Proverò presto il Wolfen NP100 che è arrivato oggi, forse con l'FX-39 II.

IO received about 2 months ago Adox fx-39 ii 500 ml.The color was slightly straw yellow, I only use 80 ml. and it works fine. The bottle is tightly closed with no air inside. Reading your post I went to the darkroom to check and now the liquid is more darker...I hope it's not dead already.

ORMD just means it should go ground service, which Fedex does do. You probably have a FXG label on the box, which is Fedex Ground.

UPS isn't the only ground service out there. USPS and Fedex both also have ground service. I'm pretty sure DHL does too, but I've not looked.

I bought a couple of 5L bottles of Flexicolor C-41RA bleach off a fella on Ebay, he sent the pair in the original Kodak box. USPS carried it a couple thousand miles. My mailman was not happy. That stuff is heavy!
