Yes, fortunately the online transfer charges are low (I think it's like that because they cannot cheat like they do when you do it at the counter. Imagine that they once changed the name of the person recieving the money in order to raise the charges !!!).

31.50 is a bit high (Fotoimpex charges only 15 euro, I think) for shipping, but the overall deal sounds good.

Lotsa film

Now this is a healthy order of film!
One cannot blame me now for not supporting the medium!
Ilford should be giving away a teddy bear or something with
each such order.

Now let's see how I am gonna fit all that in the fridge
and leave a small corner for edible material. My cameras
need pleanty of food but so does the human operator...

(400 x PanF+ in 120, 25 x HP5+ and FP4+ in 135)
(I am sure some of you get much more, but must be a record
nowadays in Greece atleast)

I had some doubts about transport cost and made some askings. It seems making export/import and custom/tax documentation is costly, that is offices (companies) registered to do that job charge high prices for preparing that documentation. Transport itself is not that pricely. For example I payed last time 60 EURO for 19kg heavy parcel. Transport alone (without documentation) is about 20 EURO, 40 EURO is price of documentation... That depend of country, and it seems it depend if your seller have some arrangment with company who prepares needed documentation.

Simillar as for transpot, some companies pay full (high) prices for sending products with courriers (UPS, DHL...) other companies have arrangements with courriers and have low(er) prices when sending products with same courrier...

Mmm...now rumour has it that on the wall of the Ilford board room there is a picture of a certain A.G. with the caption : Our Benefactor.

You can't ship 300 rolls of film to Greece for 15 Euros. That's about 10 kilos, probably a little more.

An illustration of the fridge of a film photographer.

PS. Petzi is right. The high cost of transportation was because of the weight. Until a certain weight it was 20 or so euros. Plus, it depends on the store. Some have special arrangements like Haris mentioned, Fotoimpex has a flat rate, even to the US.
PS. Fotohuis, you could be next! So beware!

Ari, what do you need bread, milk, chicken and cheese for ? You can throw them away and make some space for more film. After all, you can live on chocolate and raki alone.
