Does anyone know if there is a way to change the Camera info in the EXIF data after scanning a photo or negative?

I shoot film, but I would like to be able to embed the camera type at the lest, I would also like to add exposure information as well, but I want the information to be in the "right" place in the data so that it shows up in programs like Picasa or on Flicker just like if I had used a digital camera that adds this information automatically. I have tried several programs, but all they are able to do is change photo time, and add Geotagging information.

Thanks.

Have you tried exiftool? Runs on any platform and claims to do what you need. It is command line oriented which makes it perfectly suitable for batch processing.

That does look like it will do what I want, but it is also just slightly easier to yes than a jet fighter, is there something a bit more "user friendly" out there?

Oh that was a lot better, it took me less than 5 minuets to have it up and running and to totally destroy and rewrite the EXIF data on a "Photo Available" that I didn't care about the data on.

Thank you everyone for the help, and as luck would have it, someone I work with asked me if I knew a way to do this edit to EXIF data and when i looked it was here so he thanks you as well!
