and looking now myself, I see a couple are on a 200ft roll, the rest all 400 and 1000. I wonder if Kodak ran out of the S-83 35mm Spools. the spools are much more common with 16mm

Stop bath with indicator and PhotoFlow are very inexpensive.
Most developer are inexpensive as long as they do not have glycol.

Film is more expensive and the price is increasing because of worldwide inflation brought on as a fallout from the COVID pandemic.

I couldn't believe it when I was in the camera store in Calgary and the chemical cabinet was full of bottles of flic film chemicals!! Hydroquinone, Metol, Phenidone, CD-3. I snapped up a bottle of each. Now I make my own RA-4 developer (that 100g bottle will make 20 litres!) and can mix custom batches of developer. These chemicals were hard to get in Canada--esp. Cd-3. So hooray for analog revivals and flic film!

FlicFilm Elektra 100 is respooled Kodak Aerocolor IV. Ultrafine/Photo Warehouse and a few others sell it here in the States.

Great tip! Aerocolor IV is excellent and it's nice to know there is a local source for it in the US packaging it in 36 exp rolls.

I bought it from pophoto in Canada labelled as Luminaire 100. PW is $1 more per roll, and will charge tax. Wondering how much shipping will be to see who is cheaper.

Recently, I went into my favourite little photography store in Ottawa, Canada - Galaxy Camera. I have been there before but on this particular day, it was actually crowded with young students wanting to buy film and related chemistry, etc. So what do I mean by crowded? The store is tiny and holds about ten people and on that day, there were ten people in it. Not a huge crowd but everyone was after film. I chatted up one of the young students and he told me they were all taking a fine arts degree, which included film photography, at the University of Ottawa,

That's full circle in my experience. Ages ago, the local community college got out of film photography and I got, for almost nothing, a 5x4 Devere colour enlarger and a Durst 138s. Thy both had good lenses. The only catch was that I had to remove them from the building. I hired a guy with a truck who put both enlargers (huge beasts) in my basement for a hundred bucks, I think. No more than that. I still have the Durst.

I am comparing prices in USD from where I would buy them. Luminaire shipped from pophoto.ca website in Canada to the US. Their prices are in USD.
Elektra bought from Photowarehouse in California - obviously in USD.

The prices are as delivered - prices per roll including tax/shipping. It is much cheaper buying it from pophoto than Photo Warehouse.

Couldn't find the pophoto.ca web site but if you check the Filmexperience site vs Photo Warehouse in the USA you can see why it would be cheaper to ship it from Canada. Canada Post is the biggest cost in shipping anything largely due to fuel surcharge for the high fuel prices here n Canada.
