Carry-case for 11x14 Eastman 2d..what can I find?

I am reluctant to take my Eastman 11x14 2d camera out of the studio because I do not have a single case that can fit it. Someone suggested a soft Cooler case. I did a google search and could not turn one up big enough in all dimensions to fit the folded-up camera. I need budget suggestions, as I am temporarily poor. So, it is the camera, plus a rear extension rail (that comes off)...and I can find another case for the film holders...so I do not need space in same case for holders, necessarily. Oh, and a lens mounted on the camera, but not one that sticks out far.

Try the thrift store for some old suitcases for fit. Some of the bigger hardshells may fit.

I just the other day bought a $25 29" rolling suitcase at Academy (sporting goods type store) I also bought a cheap foam sleeping pad to pad out the interior.

very roomy and fits the camera and various gear quite well.

I've been on the lookout for a non-custom case for my American Optical 11x14", and they all seem to be a little small on one dimension, and Strebor apparently isn't making camera cases any more.

My Eastman 11x14 2d is 17 3/4 wide (includes knobs at base), 19 1/2 inches tall (includes base) and folded up 6 inches deep. The extra extension focus rail that goes on the back is 13 1/2 inches long, 8 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches thick. It stores off the camera, but should go in the same case for transport.

If you guys find anything let's add it back to this thread. I'm the proud owner of a new-to-me 11x14 Wizard View (yes, I know the fiberq site does not list the Wizard View in 11x14, but I can prove them wrong!)

forgot to mention that Im using this particular case for carrying my folmer&schwing 12x20 so its likely alot more roomy than would be needed for an 11x14. But there were a whole slew of rolling suitcases in all different sizes. The 29" one I bought was tough to find as most are 24" or smaller. So you should have some good selections to choose from.

Good suggestion and you get to deal with real people who appreciate the buisness. You may think the custom bags are expensive but if you consider the time put into them you'll realize they are a great value.

I found a top-loading soft-sided camping case at Academy sports for $35.00 that has correct inside dimensions, however the zip-aound flap under the fold-over outer-lid may be a bit small to get the camera in. Haven't tried it yet...but I have scissors, and may just remove this zip-around flap.

Well, the soft-sided bag is too small. Evidentally the measurements for the bag included the two external side zippered compartments,....but I can use it to hold 11x14 film holders. It looks like my best choice may be a Saitta custom bag.
