"The Carmel Art and Film Festival is designed as a celebration of art in all its forms: painting, sculpture, printmaking, music, photography and film will all be represented in our inaugural year. The mission of the festival is to put art in as many places as possible around Carmel, so that visitors will feel immersed in an artistic adventure. Coupled with the villages breathtaking vistas, miles of sandy white beaches, world class hotels, restaurants and shopping, the festival, with its emphasis on a wide variety of arts, offers out of town art lovers a truly unique weekend getaway and gives locals an excuse to renew their love affair with the areas rich artistic tradition."

I managed to get 2 images selected to hang in their photography show, which will be hanging throughout the month of October at the Sunset Center in Carmel.

If you're in the area during that time, it should provide an excellent experience (not to mention that the Weston Gallery and Photography West Gallery are also in town )

Thanks for the announcement and congrats for being selected!

Maybe it's not the right forum but will ask anyway (a moderator may choose to move this to the correct forum):

Is there somewhere that you describe your workflow here in hybridphoto site? I'm interested in making cyanoype + gum over pigment prints; I plan to use the printer for Y and M channels, cyanotype for C channel and gum for K channel (after evaluation, if needed...)

Will do two separations; one with no black 0% dot gain (a), one with little black generation 0% dot gain (b). Will use Y+M channels of (a) and print with inket inks then use C channel to print a cyanotype on top of it. Will use K channel of (b) for printing gum over if I see a need for more black/punch.

How that sounds?

TIA,
Loris.

Congratulations Jim

Having seen your work, I'm surprised they only selected two  Is there an opening or sometime when you plan to be at the event? I've put it on my calender to go down and check it out.

As a side note, my neighbor was describing to me some photos she saw in a wine bar, in Santa Cruz, several weeks ago. She was quite taken by the images. As she described them to me I was pretty certain they were yours.
