Carbon printing with Ilford Multigrade RC photo paper

Hi

I am going to experiment with Ilford multigrade RC photo paper for use in Carbon printing and wondered if I should first treat the paper with a fixer or can I use the paper right from the box?

Paper needs to be fixed and washed.

I have used it straight from the box as tissue substrate, but always fixed for print substrate. Cool thing about RC papers is that you can use either side.
