Hi, I got a Canonet QL17 that all slow shutter speeds are either hang or really really slow. All the speeds at and higher than 1/60s work fine. And I shot a test roll using the higher speeds, and the images look excellent. Thus I would like to CLA the shutter to get the slow speeds right, in order to fully enjoy this otherwise nice camera.
After checking all the online posts and youtube videos, it seems very few people actually worked on the slow speeds. Most people just wipe clean the shutter blades for sticky shutter issue. On my Canonet QL17, the shutter blades are clean and oil free. So it is the slow speed retard section that needs CLA.
Most people stopped at this point with the Copal shutter (see photo below), but it does not seem to provide any access to the slow speed gear section.
Do you happen to have experience with this camera and similar shutters? What further steps are involved to get to the slow speeds? Thank you!
