Hi All!

I picked up a great condition Canonet QL17 GIII yesterday, but have run into an issue!

I decided to clean the battery contacts as there was some light matter on the sphere shaped contact on the backside... I used a q-tip & white vinegar but may have used too much pressure as that contact is now submerged or sunk in the hole - I can see that a battery would not make contact with it anymore.

How can this be fixed??? Any ideas please.. I'm so angry with myself!

thanks

try aluminium foil, but the bad contact may be the auto manual switch, which I think you need the top off for...

Not too difficult you need a pencil eraser and screwdrivers, and care, Don't remove the switch to clean it make up a tool to reach it remotely. If you have more then three thumbs you can remove the switch but getting it back is difficult...
