I have a really clean Canon VT, rangefinder is bright, trigger wind is smooth but the low speed don't work right. 1 second works most of the time, 1/2 work if I set it to one second, wind it and then select 1/2 second. The other low speeds don't engage the low speed gearing and default to what sounds like 1/30. I contacted Youxin Ye and he doesn't work on these. I'd like to get this fixed so am looking for recommendations for people who work on these, that don't take like 2 years or charge $500 to repair. It doesn't need a restoration, the curtains look nice etc. TIA

I hate to say it BUT it's most likely in need of a thorough going through.

I think I did it without using the letters "CLA"..........................Awwwww nuts, failed miserably.

Hehe, yeah I'm OK spending $200-250 to go through it. I just don't need a $500+ restoration with someone who has a 3 year waiting list.
