The Pellix QL I recently got has a mirror which isn't perfect but which should be usable. At one time I thought about the possibility of transplanting the mirror from am EOS RT to a Pellix or Pellix QL. I wouldn't attempt it myself and I don't know whether any repair person would either. I don't know whether it's even possible. It would be interesting to know whether anyone has tried any kind of mylar material as a substitute. The most important difference between attempting to clean a pellicle mirror and attempting to clean a swinging front surface mirror is that the swinging mirror may have a scratch but that won't affect image quality.

Great advice folks. For cleaning i think i would do just as Brett said.

I'll keep an eye for a Pellix! After all it has the best metering arrangement.
