Canon P - When using neck strap the camera tilts back instead of hanging vertically

I'm guessing the lens I'm using is too light and the balance is off, but does anyone have any recommendations?

Attach the strap to the tripod mount with the screw from a crap tripod head or everready case and one strap lug. It will hang vertically a la M5. Works for me.
