Hello!

I have an F-1 and Motor Drive MF in what I thought was impeccable condition. Never had any problems with either of them.

however, today my motor drive simply stopped working. I went to 1/15 shutter speed while in C mode, which is wrong I know, and took one frame before it stopped. I quickly realized my error and switched the shutter back up to 1/60, checked the counter, and tried another photo, but nothing happened. I replaced the batteries, same thing. I then checked all of the battery contacts and they look practically new. The battery light does come on when the button is depressed, but no functionality with the shutter button. This is in any mode.

Is there a quirk that I need to do in order to “reset” it, so to speak? Or did it jam from the frame at the wrong speed? I know the margin for error with older equipment is pretty slim.
Thank you!

I have the same trouble with my 'Winder A' for Canon A-1 -- it DID work at first when I was given the Camera but now will NOT work.

Take off the bottom plate and look around. Easy to remove, only four screws. Maybe something will jump out at you.
