It's time to clear out some duplicates. So my wife will stop badgering me.

Up for your consideration, a nice kit. I recently stumbled upon a masterful F1 kit I couldn't pass up, so as in a deal with my wife for buying it, the extras and duplicates must go.

(UV Filters are equal to lens caps, its what I use em' for)

A-1 body - Great cosmetic shape, a little paint loss, tiny bit of brassing. It does have the "Canon cough" which is the mirror return squeak, not a shutter squeak, all speeds are good/meter is good, just a bit loud. Also included is a Power Winder A that hasnt been working for years, but I like the feel with it there. It could be repairable, but I have never bothered. NO body cap

Albinar 80-200 Macro f3.9 - Good shape, everything works, not a bad "misc lens" - Rear Cap & 55mm UV

Sigma 28-200 f3.5-5.6 - Pretty good zoom, pretty much new condition - Rear Cap, Rubber Shade, 72mm UV filter, Lens Cap

Canon 28mm f2.8 - Good cosmetic shape, functions perfect - NO caps

Canon 50mm f1.8 - Excellent look/function, BT-52 Hood, UV filter, NO rear Cap

Also includes a cable release, finger grip, battery, manual on CD.

Though if I get $225 I might be inclined to toss in a sling bag and some other goodies.

Hello there, newbie here.
I've see kits such as yours on eBay and for the money your asking ($225), I hate to be rude but, your going to end up keeping your kit a very long time. I recently bought an A-1 in reasonably good condition for $30 with shipping included. If your A-1 has a cough or a squeal it's only worth $10. Why? Because it'll cost at least $50 to clean, lube, and partially restore the camera. The two Canon lenses however are worth about $20 each depending on condition. The other lenses regardless of condition are going for around $10 if they sell at all.

All that having been said it is a matter of timing on eBay. There was a run on almost anything Canon recently but that run seems to have faded away over the course of a single week. Schools out for summer.

If someone wants to pay you $2225 for a problematic camera then all I can say is today's your lucky day.

Is it my business? No. But then why post the question? Is it your business to criticize my answer? Again, no. But that's the chance you take isn't it?

I'm going to agree with you Chris when you ask what's wrong with the world today. You can say there's too much criticism, and I can say there are too many with unrealistic expectations. If somebody wanted sunshine blown their way I'm sure they can easily find a place for that. But the result would eventually be the same.

Was I being rude? Possibly. But we all do rub somebody the wrong way in some fashion eventually. Sometimes thats a pretty easy thing to do especially nowadays when everyone seems to be so high strung. A joke is now an insult, an opinion is now a threat, and no good deed goes unpunished. And we wonder why we've become so isolated.

I don't worry about being called names since I have been called many things over these many years. (Murderer is still my favorite)

I do hope that you are able to sell your camera as well as the other items that you offer. You have to admit that this thread has generated a fair amount of interest. 190+ views so far! Man, that good!

BTW - canon cough, or canon squeal may be easily fixed with syringe and drop of oil in a three minutes. I did it on ~ 20 canons I owe (on all my A-1, AE-1 and AE-1 program).. Just look online for it..

The great thing about a "For Sale" post with an asking price is that the OP doesn't need your help to find out if they're being unrealistic. The market, or lack thereof, will speak loudly and clearly. They didn't ask for a photo critique, where it would be perfectly acceptable for you to blow something other than sunshine their way.

The appropriate response to a posting, with a price you believe is too high, is no response at all.

Here is the link. The instructions that has you removing the top is NOT the best way. I did it this way 4X quite successfully.

It is little bit tricky but it works. You just have to find right angle of you needle so it will point right to a gear that cause squeak.
I did it many many times. It really works and really helps to fix issue.
