You may check out KEH Used Cameras. Excellent camera. Just can't beat a Canon F-1.

Sure you can beat a Canon F-1. And beat it, and beat it, and beat it...

What was the idea behind that version? (The cardboard case had a lettering in military/stencil style.)

Very neat. I have always wanted to see one in person. I wouldn't pay much for one, but someone probably would.

I too, own an Olive Drab Canon F-1 which I purchased from an Australian collector back in the late 1990's. No idea of their current worth, you just don't see them advertised or sold.

For what it's worth, most OD F-1s' have serial numbers in the 575XXX to 578XXX range. I'm guessing yours does too.

In the final analysis I.M.O "things" don't have an intrinsic value, they are worth what you can get for them at the time, basing the figure on what they have sold for in the past can be false if nobody will pay it for yours.

Only thing I ever read (on the internet) was that Canon made this camera for the collector market. Don't know if that's true or not. Maybe Canon was just being wild and crazy. No doubt the camera looks cool.
