I just got back a serviced Canon F-1N. It is missing two of the caps on the bottom plate. I have the caps on a parts camera but they do not want to come off. Can I use some kind of penetrating oil to loosen them? What kind would be good?

How about some WD40?

but in any case, i'd also try using a hairdryer to heat it and then try unscrewing.
