CONDITION: This outfit I’m selling for a retired friend of mine who purchased it all new and used it one time for a trip…After which it was stored and never used again. Everything is in excellent, pretty much mint condition and all is working great. All lens glass is excellent with no fungus, or scratches EXCEPT for inside the rear element of the 35-105 (see picture). All functions, focusing, etc. is working on the camera and lenses. Clean viewfinder. There’s really nothing negative about this set except for the issue with the 35-105. Manuals have some wear and soiling.

Nice Set...Reduced Price...$225 + Shipping.

70-210 f4 is called the poor man's L for a reason.

Where is it called that way?
I owned one and at 200mm it had very low contrast and was soft. Fine at 70-100mm. I also had the 100-300/5.6 and that one was better wide open at all focal lengths.

At f8 it is very good at all FLs.

HOWEVER, the 70-210/4 has very beautiful bokeh and I miss it because of this. I have one very fine portrait made with it at about 80mm wide open.

Thanks for the comments...Now reduced one more time to $199 + shipping.

one hell of a kit for $199 ! someone buy this

Yes, this is a hell of a kit, especially with the Mark 1, metal mount, EF 50/1.8 lens!!

I had almost the same kit, the EOS 650 is a nice camera, perhaps the best viewfinder on the whole EF camera line, and well built. I had the same flash, works transparently, well integrated with the camera.

EDIT: On my comments above I wanted to mean that despite not being very good wide open at 210mm, nevertheless the EF 70-210/4 is very good at f8 at all focal lengths. And that the bokeh is excellent at all focal lengths.

The EOS 600 series bodies hold up well – my 630 is still in good shape from when I bought it in 1989.

FYI - These camera bags, lens cases & camera straps also come with this Canon kit...The kit was kept in them. I removed everything for the initial pictures and forgot to ad this info.

The whole kit and caboodle...$175 + Shipping.

Still trying to find the sweet spot for my friends kit...Now lowered to $150 + shipping.

Remember, this includes all the cases and straps shown in the last pictures I put on here too.

PM your zip for a shipping quote.
