Canon eos 300 slr - contax Yashica carl zeiss adaptor.

I was wandering if its possible. It would be good since canon eos body is dirt cheap and not that old. I have the contax 167mt body and need another body to keep black and white film in or just a different iso.

Unless you want to use Canon EOS lenses on it , I don't see the point .
Sure it's a cheap camera , but then add the cost of the adapter ( that model might require one with the chip ) , and it's probably going to cost you more than just buying either a cheap Contax body or one of the Yashica C/Y lens mount bodies .
These also sell for about £15 - £20 .
Apart from metering , you'll also retain automatic aperture stop down , and a much better focus screen / viewfinder .

Have you used an EOS 300? I have one, it is a great little camera however the viewfinder is awful for anything but auto focus. I have used all modern Canon bodies (300, 30, 3, 1N, 1V) and I would say that an EOS 3/1N/1V with an Ec-S screen are fantastic for manual focusing, plus you get all the bells and whistles for AF. The 30 would be a good one but it is incapable of stop down metering. The 300 will meter fine but focusing will be very tricky.

I had eos 300 years ago. I might go for a yashica fx3 instead then.

Any time you use an adapter to put one camera mount's lenses on another body always force you to use stop down metering - a deal breaker for me for everything other than something like desktop photography.
