I found a web site devoted to Canon cameras and lenses. It's cool because it lists equipment dating from 1933 to the present, and I haven't seen many sites that have information on Canon (or Nikon) cameras that are that old. (Being the good "Apuggie" that I am, I added it to the Link Portal post haste. Hint, hint!)

The site is actually part of Canon's official web site. You can see it at:

http://www.canon.com/camera-museum .

That's a very useful site. I have a pretty extensive FD system--great system and very affordable, if you don't need autofocus or the latest zoom lenses. Also check out this site, which has lots of info on the Canon FD system and other classic SLR systems:

Get your FD-era manuals here:

FD lens tests here:

More FD stuff here:

FD and EOS serial number and date code info here:

I've added them all to the link portal.

I've used the Canon and the Chris Rollinger site for several years. They are great when trying to settle arguments. I use an AE-1 and FTb for my 35mm stuff.
