I did a Google search and Loos Canons turned up. Their web site lists a Canon A-1 CLA for $60. Has anyone used their CLA service before? If so, how was it?

Regards,
Rob

I would be suspicious about a $60 CLA, just on general principles. I keep getting quotes of $150 plus shipping both ways to CLA a Canon FTb. Needless to say, I think that is too much and recommend you just buy another camera from KEH, or from someone on the auction site that guarantees it works and will accept a return. I would go w/ KEH first. That's what I did. Rather than spend $180 repairing an old FD camera (which I appear to have fixed myself anyway), I just bought a T90 from KEH for $70, shipped. Has a warranty and everything. I think my "beer can" Fd 135 2.5 lens will handle better on the T90 anyway, and I'll shoot my 50 1.4 on the FTb.
