Hey guys, I need some help scanning my 120 negatives with my Canon 8800F. I was trying to figure a way to scan without the included film trays, since those are technically above the point of focus and don't keep the film flat. But I tried just taking the film out of the tray and placing it the same way directly onto the scanner's glass (emulsion side-down), and the colors came out completely screwed up. I have no idea why. I had a CD case over the film to keep it flat.

What's going wrong? What would be the easiest/cheapest way to do this? Thanks!

By the way, I'm using VueScan. It's sort of confusing :$
