For Sale Canon 50mm F2.8 Leica Thread Mount Rangefinder Lens

This 50mm F2.8 is a classic lens from the era of great Canon rangefinder system. Overall the optical condition is good. There is no haze, fungus, or oil. There are numerous very tiny micro scratches on the front element, a common issue with lenses from the time this was made, but they are not nearly dense or clustered enough to impact results. The over all glass aspect is clean and clear. Mechanically the lens is in good shape and it has only signs of normal moderate use, and no signs of ever having been dropped or damaged. There are no engravings.

I have shot film with lens and the results are very good - especially such as basic lens such as this, but the Canon rangefinder system was really an exceedingly good system so that is not too surprising for those of us who know it. Sold as shown with a Canon plastic front cap - I do not have a rear lens cap.
