Has anyone run into this problem before? My Canon 300V/Rebel TI consistently only registers 24 exposure when loading 36 exposure fuji film. Is there something wrong with the film advance or am I doing something incorrectly?

Weird - there's no setting, it winds all the way, then stops and then pulls some back in and 36 shows on the counter on mine

The 300V winds the film to the end initially and then rewinds the film back into the cassette one frame at a time.
Something is wrong with the camera - once there is 24 frames are on to the right side, there is something that is triggering the sensor that is intended to signal that the film has been fully wound over to that side.

I use the very similar 3000n, and its electronics are definitely a weak point. Mine signals a battery warning with new batteries and is generally glitchy. However it's light and takes the 40mm pancake so I persevere.
