I got a TTL flash cord for my Pentax 645. But it's near useless coiled-about 18 inches. Uncoiled it would probably be about 3 or 4 feet. Is there a way to uncoil it?
Yes that's what I thought about doing-cut and splice in a few feet of straight wire. But I'm not too good at soldering the small wire. If it was 12 or 14 gauge, that would be easy.
I think I found the answer to all my TTL flash cord problems. 33' long and not coiled. It's universal-works with Nikon, Pentax, and Canon. Wish I discovered it long ago.
I figured it out. I strecthed(and uncoiled)about 10-12 inches at a time and held it over the hot stove burner. Then, while still stretched, wrapped it in a wet rag to cool it rapidly. It doesn't look pretty, but the cord is much more useful now.
