I used an Angenieux 9-126mm with a B4 mount on my Olympus Pen. It had two zoom ranges and a built -in 2x mafgnifying lens block for changing ,plus an adjustment knob for matching perfect focus.
The short range vignetted but the longer range worked fine. I suppose the lens was calculated for the colour dividing prisms in the old Sony ENG cameras, so the thick glass stack in front of MFT sensors did not matter that much. I would assume that the Fujizoom was intended for such ENG cameras.
Yes, the complicated, purely mechanical, adapter was not cheap, but worked well-
