I recently bought a Horseman Convertible from a Japanese seller, and as usual didn't pay any attention to the strap that came with it. I just picked it up today, however, and noticed that it has a type of clip that I've never seen before:

Is this a super common thing that has simply never run across my path? If so, I'd love to know what they're called so I can buy more! They're really, really convenient.

Looks like it could go on any number of TLRs with the slot type lugs such as a Yashicamat.

Best pic I could find...

They look similar to the ones on the Polaroid SLR680 and SLR690 strap.

I call such a strip-steel carbine hook.

But whether others call it the same so that you could search for it....

It's like the old hippie and Southwest camera strap clips, but the metal one shown above is wider and flattened more. I've used the straps like these below w/ TLRs, they work fine, and I like the way you can so easily attach and detach the strap. But the op's pic above shows a strap clip that is even better.

Used for cases. This type of clip will damage the finish on most any TLR.
