I'm trying to order some fresh flexicolor chemistry for C41 film (jobo CPP2) and i plan on doing one-shot usage with my developer.
I am able to get some of the 20L developer replenisher (3667805) but the starter is LORR (6601074)
Getting LORR developer replenisher is expensive and prohibitive in terms of min order quantity

Am I able to use the LORR starter ok? or am I in trouble?

Can I make a working developer solution without a starter?

thanks

Edit:

just to be clear, I mean using LORR developer starter with non LORR developer replenisher.

I don't know if the two are compatible, but no, you can't make a proper C-41 working solution developer out of replenisher, without a proper starter, and expect it to give proper results.

thanks
Kodak docs say "To make a fresh tank solution from this replenisher, use only KODAK FLEXICOLOR Developer Starter." so wasnt sure if that included the LORR variety or not

I thought I read that one could mimic the starter by using replenisher which had done a couple of processes of throwaway film.

actually I am not even sure I can get hold of non LORR starter. even B&H have it as unavailable

The difference between regular developer replenisher and LORR is quite significant:
developer: 20litres @ $30
LORR developer: 94 litres @ $155

I am not really going to be able to handle almost 100 litres of developer before it goes off

Yes, if you run enough film through the developer, what you said earlier should happen. But how much it takes, I don't know. If you have a control strip or other way to measure crossover, you could find out.

EDIT: I should mention that normal replenishment must take place while the film is running through the developer for this to happen correctly.

Have a look at the sticky in this forum. Brian, aka user "bvy" has a nice summary of what chemicals are needed. LORR starter and replenisher are part of the system of chemicals. They are available from, among other places, Unique Photo in New Jersey, USA.

I've tried them before :-
"For colour chemistry we carry Tetenal 2.5L & Arista 1Qt kits. We do not carry separate chemicals for colour process , only separate B&W chemical"

My understanding though is that they can place a custom order for you if you know exactly what you want.
