Hi,

I've just developed my 2nd roll since 2 years of abstinence.

When I noticed the light streaks I first thought that my changing bag or development tank is not light tight.
But then I saw that the streaks end and the border of the frames.

Camera was a Hasselblad 500C/M. I haven't found problems with the magazine, but it hasn't been used very often yet (~10 rolls).

The problem is only with 2 frames, the other frames look ok.
Look at the first two pictures which have the problem. The next picture is ok again.
I've also included a scan of the whole negative stripe so you can see the borders.

Is it a problem with the magazine?

regards,
chris

Possibly the light seal not functioning when the dark slide was removed, then slowly closing up. Lack of use is the worst thing you can do to anything mechanical.

Third similar problem posted in one month at APUG. I think strong summer light caused to you with other guys. Use a light tight black flexible bant to cover the entire epicentrum of camera to back joint. I dont know how does it cost to repair it but I seen it before at my Kiev 88.

Thanks for the link. It also explains why the leaks are on the "wrong" side, not the side where the opening for the dark slide is.

Replace the light trap.

Light comes in from the left and strikes the film on the right side, however since the image is inverted the image shows up on the left side.
