I still use the old "Hippie Straps" from circa 1970.
They are long and wide. I wear my cameras across my body and these have always worked well.
a strap by any other name.........
Just checked London Drugs website. They have a variety of different straps, including many that are mentioned in this thread. Very pricey, I was a bit surprised that the good looking ones seem to cost more than some of m cameras. Lol.
I haven’t been using the Peak Designs Slide strap. Feels like wearing a seatbelt. Wish I hadn’t bought it, although it may come in handy for the SRT-101 with the 135mm glass on it.
I like the PD wrist strap better but I don’t like the fact that it cinches up like a wrist noose and won’t loosen easily. It takes two hands to get it off.
For the N75’s I just use whatever little ‘ol straps came with them.
I use the big Peak Design slide on my Mamiya press, Bronica sq-am and -ai so I can easily switch the strap and feel sure it will hold the weight and only need the one strap. Also use a PD leash between a Canon A-1 AE-1 and couple of other 35mm's.
BUT Having recently bought a guitar I have realised just how cheap these could be made with a guitar strap. With a little ingenuity, some Kevlar cord and a carabiner type clip you could have great strap for £10.

I have a couple of wrist straps, and they are great at certain times.
But i typically carry two bodies.........maybe with a 28 and an 85..... and i cannot manage that very well with one camera always hanging from my hand.
I've used UPSTRAPs for years. Shoulder type only. Great absolutely non-slip rubber shoulder piece.
I don't do street and don't want to deal with wide straps...wouldn't use any strap at all except that I fear dropping. Company was formerly upstrap but is now https://journeycamera.com/
They offer a wide variety of strap types...couldn't be better quality.
Op-Tek Envy straps were my go-to for a very long time. Then I discovered Barton 1972 and outfitted the better cameras with lovely braided leather straps. Nowadays I'm using pandacamera's Strong Climbing Rope Braided Adjustable Camera Wrist Hand Strap on just about everything, including bright red straps on flashlights so I have a fighting chance of finding them in the dark.
