Now to bring in a smaller camera obscura inside so you can have an image that's right side up without the use of prisms or mirrors! Or maybe stand on your head haha.

That's the first creative approach to the camera obscura issue I came across since a long time.

Sad enough it would not work.

I did get to take a small group of my students on a field trip to the installation today. It was pretty cool and was nicely done. Totally worth the time if you are in the area and can make it on a sunny day. Go soon as its only up a little while longer. The default image hole makes a fuzzy image but if you shape your hand into a rough O shape over the opening you can make the image much sharper. It would be perfect if someone made a pinhole for the covering and taped up a roll of paper inside and used it as a huge camera to capture the park and the flatiron building.
