I think it was a Nikonos. I just saw that the other day.

and Dan Ackroyd uses a globuscope as a ghost sensor when he probes the painting

Im about 99.9% sure its a Brooks Veriwide camera.
I've always wanted to find one of them, but they always sell for $700+ when I see them.
