Camera Batteries

I looked at a Minolta 300si the other day, and when I looked in the battery compartment I saw that it had the big batteries that are the size of 2 AA batteries, and I was wondering if you had to use those, or if you could just use 2 AA batteries?

The manual states that a 6 volt lithium battery is required.
the aa batt. is longer than the lith, and the voltage is 1.5
so no.

No, you can't. They're the wrong size but those 6volt batteries are easily had at almost any drug store. They're very common and there is an alkaline counterpart.
