Just wanted to share that my new to me 4x5 Horseman LE (w/ Sironar-N 210 MC lens) arrived today and I was like a 43 year old kid waiting for Santa
. I had an awesome first-time experience on ebay to boot.
The camera is rock solid, essentially clean as a whistle. All the movements are positive and firm, zero detents very solid. The lens looks as if it could have been taken off the shelf yesterday. I have spent most of the day practicing with exagerated camera perspectives and fixing them on the ground glass with the camera movements, trying to get a feel for how they work. In terms of weight, I will say that my RB that I had with the prism finder was a good primer, a few concessions obviously, but not that bad.
A few things are still needed for a minimum set up before film testing begins with the 4x5, but I am in no hurry. There's much to soak in!
