Has anyone used the Chinese cable releases on ebay? Im thinking about getting these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200281745562

I'm worried it might by too stiff. I would be using it on a Yashicamat.

I'm also thinking of getting one made by Hama. Its the only one available locally. Though im worried that the little metal part, that pokes out as you press down the button, is too short for the Yashica. Does anyone have the Hama one?

I had one a long time ago. It was good, but the plastic handles can break under hard use.

Bought some about a month ago. I was skeptical but have no complaints.

Not too stiff for me.

I just ordered them. I guess its hard to go wrong with the price of 12 dollars.

You're going to need the Leica/Yashica/Nikon Thread adapter.
The picture shows standard Cable release ends.

I was thinking the same thing John, just like the Nikon F,

I have the adapter. My current long cable release is unusable with it though, because the metal part that pokes out is too short (10mm). I have another cable release which works with it, but is only 15cm long and has no lock. Therefore I needed a new one. Should be here in a week or two.
