Cable Release for autoknips mod 1

I recently purchased an autoknips mod 1. I wanted to use this with my cable release for a camera that didn't have a timer. Sadly, it didn't fit right with my cable release. I just wondered if anyone here had this timer, and if they knew of a cable release that would work nicely with it.

Afraid I can't shed light into it. For me this is an interesting note as I was looking for these kinds of selftimers and the cable release seemed more interesting than the direct screw on; I guess not so much anymore given the compatibility. From pics on ebay to the selftimer I have, seems that both would not like each other.

The Autoknips models were designed for those basic releases with small button.
What fitting problem did occur in your case?
