I am new to this reversal process and am now trying to get my perfect development times.

Does the 18% Grey card give a .75 density on a positive, like it does on a negative?

if you expose it that way, then it will--you should take pics of grey step cards WITH subjects such as people to see the effects of exposure and how the film will record the various shades of grey...and where on the grey scale to place things so they look good---In general--reversal renderings do not match negative densities which are much weaker---my experience---
