Well then maybe the 35Ti would be more cost effective. That Nikon Analog Display System looks so cool!

35Ti_b by Les DMess, on Flickr

I kind of want one of these every time I see them.

Love needle meters, love weird stuff like that, they're very 1990 Japanese... I have too many cameras for a spendy point and shoot, but the at price they were two years ago when I was only thinking about getting back to film and didn't have a box full of cameras I wouldn't regret it. 35mm is a great walkin' around focal length for me and they're tiny enough to stuff in a pocket.

I think OP should get one. Or two, one for a shooter, the second for a backup.

What a cool-looking camera! Would love a couple. Donations humbly accepted.

If the op spends a little time here, they'll see that buyer's remorse and complaining about something that isn't what we wanted once we got it is all we do!

Here's an example. I bought a nice, old classic lens for my Pentax, and the adapter didn't work. Turns out the lens is a T mount (which I have never held in my hands before now), not M42. So I took it to Monument Camera here in Tucson, and he had a T adapter that fixed the issue.

Meanwhile, I had found essentially the same lens in Nikon mount, so I had bought that, but I'm selling the only Nikon camera I have. If the lens arrives and the camera sells, I have to buy another Nikon body.

This all messed up my adapter idea for a Canon AV-1 that's coming, as I had bought an FD to M42 adapter, and it turned out I don't actually have a M42 lens. There's more, it's not fun to type :[

Lol. Ok, I feel better now. Actually, most of the purchases I’ve made have been great. Maybe I was expecting a home run every time I got up to the plate.

Good news! If you stay in this game long enough, things come around. Today, a Leica 58mm UVa filter in a nice case shows up in my mailbox, right out of the blue. But I didn't buy it. It has my name on the shipping envelope, but the sender is in a state I've never been to, and I don't recognize their name.

I checked my eBay purchases thinking that maybe a seller got their shipments mixed up, but the items that haven't arrived still show as "not delivered".

I see these on eBay for $130, If I don't hear from anyone in a week or two, I guess it's mine. It sounds wrong to to blindly send an expensive item to a stranger's address until I know that's where it's actually supposed to go, and googling the shippers name went nowhere. Weird, but I'm not complaining .

Send a PM to Sean with the Seller's name and ask if he can check to see if the seller is on Photrio and would reach out to them for you.

Thanks, Matt. I received the camera today. It is in absolute mint shape. We'll see how the pictures turn out.

It is the same width as my Yashica T4 but a bit thicker. Not bad.

The shutter release travel is fairly long and does not release crisply. That's a nitpick. It's just something to adjust to.

The controls are intuitive and shaped and positioned well. The viewfinder is big and clear.

Overall, it's a very attractive camera and I'm happy with it. Yes, I wish I could have gotten it cheaper, but it's still a very good value at $50.

Lets see,.....the RB67, RZ67 and the Bronica 645. Three of the worst cameras I ever owned and will never own them again.

Wow, I loved my RB67 (had three of them), wanted to get a RZ...

And now i own three Bronica 6x4.5 cameras (ETRSi and ETRS) which I totally love and essentially are like a scaled-down RZ67...

What was wrong with those cameras??

My comment was directed to the post immediately preceding mine from momus, who received an unexpected filter and can't figure out why it came to him :D. But I'm glad your purchase worked out.

Sorry. Didn't scroll up and the lack of a quote threw me.

RB and the RZ were too big and clunky, and the bronica never worked right, that awful trigger handle was the worst. I've owned the Pentax 645Nii for 3 years now and will never give it up.

Well i can't fault this reasoning, RB/RZ are indeed very big. And the trigger handle on the bronica... I like it but of course i'd expect the Pentax integrated grip to be better.

This also means you don't miss fast flash sync speeds...

In my opinion, I never understood why some would want to lower the ambient when using flash by more than 2 stops. As the photographers we all are, we should be good at problem solving. With a sync speed of 60th and below that my Pentax gives me I always have a work around. Not a lot of info out there about the Pentax 645 line and it truly is very under rated. But for an extra $3000, a Contax with the 80mm Zeiss lens that gives you only just a tad bit more sharpness are also available also.

I got an Oleson bright screen for my ETRSi. People seem to rave about these, and it is a touch brighter which is nice, but it's really badly made. When you look though the rangefinder the edges are rough enough that there's a black line around them, making it harder to get precise focus.

Also, the whole dymo tape to make it fit thing is cheesy. If it's a $40-50 item maybe, but these are a hundred bucks a pop, I'd expect it to fit. I'm still not sure it's the right height, to the point I'm planning on a roll of focus testing to figure it out.

Maybe I should have gotten the non rangefinder version. The mosaic works better than the stock screen. But I still wonder if I should have just sent it back and lived with the stock screen.

Thanks for this information, i was always curious about those 'improved' screens.

I have the stock matte screen on my ETRSi and I think it's fairly bright, better than some 35mm cameras and better than my Pentax P67 (which OTOH doesn't have a stock screen).

Something to always check is to make sure that the prism and ocular glass is absolutely clean. Many of those bronica eye level prisms/AE prisms get a slight haze around. Simple disassembly and cleaning is needed and improves visual quality a lot.

This is the one thread I always come back to (hangs head down in shame after buying TWO cameras last night on eBay that work only with the lens that was just sold).

(head goes back up): But I got such a great deal on them!

Lol. Most of my purchases on ebay come late at night when my brain is taking a break. To wife: "But honey, it's an INVESTMENT!"

Yeah, the few times I've paid big bucks for Leica M mount lenses. They never seem to be worth the $$ paid. Fortunately they hold value, and I overall probably made money re-selling the stuff. Usually no "buyers remorse" for other items. If I don't like something, it hits the used market. Just chalk it up to increasing user experience.

I've had sellers remorse. Sold a Nikon F black 64 which I always regretted. Had a chrome, version. 4, 35 summicron in the late 90's; wish I had it now because they've appreciated nicely. Had a Nikon S3 in original box -- that vague rangefinder patch but it didn't flare! Pair of Nikon S2, original boxes, where I knew the provenance. Wish I still had those, there was a period of time I bought and sold a lot, but they're enjoying life in other parts of the world.

My Wideluxes - bought them because of The Dude and his super work with them. But some of that super work was because of his location shots that no mere mortal would have access to!
Cameras showed up - absolutely hated them. The most unergonomic, uncomfortable to use with miserable viewfinders cameras I have ever used. Results were just as good if not better from the easier and more fun to use Horizons that cost $100. And the Noblex 135 is easier, more fun with better results.
Upside is those Wideluxes were easy to resell.

I had been watching a particular camera for sale for a few weeks. My plan was to sell one of my own first and then buy the new one.
However, with nobody interested in my camera for a while plus the growing public interest in the camera for sale I decided to place my offer and I won. Enter Buyers Remorse. I had a broken sleep that night, and was still worrying about it on the way to pick it up.
Strange thing happened though. As soon as I held the camera, and paid the money, the remorse immediately disappeared. I slept like a baby that night.
PS - It was a Bronica etrsi.
