They can replace the silver oxide versions of the same battery at a much lower cost with equal accuracy.
They work perfectly in the Leica M6, M6TTL, M7, MP, CLE, Olympus OM-3, OM-4, Olympus X Series, Minolta X series, many Nikons, Pentaxes, Yashicas, etc.
I stack 4 of them and they work in the Canon AE-1, AE-1P, Mamiya 645, etc., instead of the 6 volt PX28.
