This is a non-issue for me in black and white, but it becomes a factor for me in color due to the fact that I don't process any C-41 or E-6 on my own. What is the policy of most labs with regard to getting film processed if it's not in an original cassette? Are they going to be okay as long as you swear to them that it's the right process film or do most not accept any bulk-loaded film for fear that it will screw up their processors? Thanks for the information.

Regards.

I've never had a problem with it. Most labs will return your cartridges as well, if you ask.

Most over here take bulk film and return the cassettes so long as they know what process to use. In fact E6 processing is very easy to do yourself. I have never tried C41.

No problem here

When I take bulk loaded film to my local MOTO-FOTO I tell them that it is either E6 or C41 and they happily process it for me.

I sent some bulk-loaded Velvia to Fuji in a mailer--they returned it. Calypso here in San Jose processed the roll and returned the cassetted.
