I've been given a bag of cameras from the 60's & 70's, and one interesting item is a Brownie 127. I'm going to put a couple of rolls of Efke 100 127 through it, just for fun. Trouble is, I don't have any 127 spools and I don't want to waste a film @ £4.50 to get a take up spool. Has any kind soul out there in the UK got a spare 127 spool they could post to me? I'll send stamps for postage.

Sorry Snapper, I cant help you. But you may want to check around with any other photo and film friends and see if anyone locally can help. Check your local camera shops - you never know what you can find. Also, if nothing else works, you could remove the film from a spool in a black bag (or darkroom, etc) and "borrow" the spool to get you going. This would sure be the quickest solution for you.

BTW, where will you get it developed? Just wondering. Happy Shooting!

Thanks, I guess I could give that a try. I intend to process the film myself in a Paterson tank - I believe the reels can be set to take 127 film(?)

Just had a brain flash-- isn't there one left in the camera? Usually there is the spent spool left behind when you remove the exposed film, unless someone has been playing around inside it. Anyway, my offer still stands, PM me with your address, and I'll send you one.
