Howdy,

Silly me has been using the bulb function on my SQ-Ai for long exposure (last weekend I tried one for 800 seconds), where’s I should probably use the T function.

As I have a film still in the camera, I don’t want to fool around with trying it out, so I have a quick question.

When you slide the T lever across, does the shutter open straight away, or does this only occur once the shutter release button on the body is pressed (to me, the manual didn’t seem clear on it)

Cheers

It opens when the shutter is released. To close it, you have to flip the T slide back, so sticking a hat over the lens might be desirable to prevent motion showing if there's any bright spots in the scene.
