Recently found a beautiful deal on a Bronica Sq-Ai (~$30 USD).

The one problem is that it did not have the little pack to place the batteries in.

I was curious if any owner of the Bronica Sq-Ai could take dimensions of there battery holder so I could construct one and actually start taking pictures using my beautiful new camera.

The battery holder is a fairly simple affair...

...WOW :surprised: :D
thanks soooo much! You are my savior!

I dont suppose I could be picky and ask for two more pictures?
One of the positive side of the inside.
One of the negative side of the inside.

I don't wanna fry my camera...

Not sure I follow... The batteries themselves are electrically isolated from each other in the holder - The pins you see in the camera make contact with the centre of the battery and the metal tab (ref first image).
The lower image would be the view you would see upon opening the battery compartment door.

If that adds to the confusion, or you need more images, let me know.

I'm bumping this thread in the hopes that someone has an extra Bronica Sq-Ai battery holder they are willing to trade/give/sell.

I'm going to start making one very soon if I can't find one.

Have you checked the Tamron pages for replacement parts? They probably have it for you.

http://www.tamron.com/bronica/prod/sq_acc.asp

Tamron has informed me that since that part isn't being made anymore, they do not carry that part anymore. That link is actually the first place I looked (after google).
I also called Koh's camera, KEH, B+H, Adorama, emailed many ebay sellers that have other random bronica parts, and have attempted to make my own to no avail.

I solved my battery problem by getting a motor drive, it co-opts the power and runs the camera off its own batteries, which are much cheaper AAs.

can mods delete this thread please? or at least tell me how to delete it?

Call Tamron. They can get spare parts from Japan. Good luck.
