Bronica SQ-A in wet weather

Howdy all,

I will be spending a few days on the isle of Skye in Scotland next week and I'm curious about the SQ-A's robustness in very wet conditions.

I've used my Bronica in all sorts of weather—I do live in Scotland after all—but I've never subjected it to entire days of sustained rainfall, which is a very real possibility during our stay.

Anybody have experience using one of these bad boys in bad weather?

I think I'll be using some 220 film to limit the film changes and employing a makeshift rain cover to keep it relatively dry, but I'm interested to hear how others have tackled the elements and how the camera fared in such situations.

Do your best to keep it dry and you should be okay.

Skye is a pretty special place - I'd sure like to get back.

Yeah, will do. I haven't had any problems before in light rain, so I'll just try to keep it as dry as possible and hopefully all will be well.

Haven't been to Skye before, so quite excited to go.

Don't be too worried about a few drops of rain, but do make sure to give everything a good dry afterwards.

Yeah, I know the camera can handle a few drops of rain; it's a sustained Scottish down pour that particularly concerns me

I'll just try to keep it as dry as I can and give it a good wipe afterwards, as you say.
