Hi !

Yesterday my "new" Bronica kit arrived. Is there anything to obeye when mounting the lens and the extensiontube ? Is there a special order ?

tube to the body, then the lens ? or
lens to tube, then to the body ?

Alway mount extension to the body first, then lens to the extension. Dismount is in reverse order, lens off the extension and then extension off the body. If you take the extension off first you will not get the lens off the extension. This won't be a problem if you are just swapping to another lens for a while and plan on remounting the set again, it will act as a single unit and then you can dismount in the proper order.

NO NO NO! The Bronica directions (I am reading them as I type this!) state the order of attachment...that you first mount the lens to the teleconvertor or extension tube. Then the combo (lens + extender, lens + teleconvertor} combination to the body!

The instructions also state that IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE to attach it in any other way.

Detachment is the reverse order...lens + tube removed from the body, tube them removed from the lens.

Really? After all the years I've been using my Bronny I've been doing it wrong? Tell that to my SQAi, I can walk over to it and mount/dismount the lenses, extensions etc as I described all day. Which Bronica directions do you have in your hands? SQ or older than that?

As I recall, Hasselblad instructions mount the tube to the camera first, then the lens. Problbly to keep things locked down & prevent jamming.
I know it's not a Bronica but anyhow.......

I also have the 80mm and 36mm extension tube setup and I've connected and disconnected the set anyway you can think of. The lens, extension tube and body can be connected and disconnected in any order. The only issue you may run into when disconnecting the lens + extension tube from the body then the lens from the extension tube is you will need to cock the extension tube before you can remove the lens. Here is a great site with pictures showing the issue further down the page: http://www.camerahobby.com/Photo-Bronica_Tips.htm
