So I posted (there was a url link here which no longer exists) selling just the S2 and 7.5cm lenses with the extra goodies, but I thought I would make a different thread offering the rest of my Bronica kit, as well as a little video showing the issue.

A friend of mine gave me a big box full of film cameras. He shot a few rolls through this camera, but it has an intermittent issue with the mirror getting stuck that requires removing front lens and guiding the mirror back up to top position.

Here is a short YouTube clip showcasing the issue with my camera:

It is currently functioning properly (minus that little "click" at the end of the wind), but it probably just needs a good CLA. Comes with 7.5cm f/2.8 lens, 5cm f/3.5 lens, extra Bronica filmfinder back, prism, and left hand grip.

I'm also going to offer a 7 day return period... If you're not happy with the camera, just return it to me and I will refund your money, minus shipping and PayPal fees.

Asking $525 for the entire kit, PayPaled, which includes shipping in CONUS.

I have to tell you that the loud clack at the end of the wind is completely normal to this camera, along with an increase in tension just before the clack. The thing that does seem weird to me is the number of revolutions in winding, it is usually 2 revolutions to wind the camera, at least it is with an S2a camera, so I don't know if that is normal in this video. GLWS, Bob.

Also my S2A clacked at the end, but as the saying manthor it make only two revolutions to wind

Thanks for the replies, that's good to know that the clack is completely normal! Do you think maybe it's a bad back?

Is is it possible to "dry fire" the camera? Shoot a back without film?

I found this...

"Many who used the system for the first time are often a bit too careful when using the film advance knob. One needs to advance the knob typically 3 to 4 complete rotations or multiple smaller rotations until it feels like it stops then rotate a bit more until you hear the shutter cock. This sounds is often very unnatural and feels like something broke."

Just my opinion, but it is over-priced.

Overpriced for the body? Or for everything that I am offering? 2nd back, left hand grip, 5cm lens...

The best barometer (far better than my opinion) is if the kit sells at your asking price or not.

GLWS. For some reason, I like my bronica more than my hasselblad! Love the Nikkor normal lens focused close. My avatar too.

David, I'm familiar with the S2a so there might be some small differences but AFAIK the only way to test fire the camera is to take the back off while winding/firing it (be very careful not to touch the FP shutter). The only way to find out if it is winding the right number of revolutions would probably be to put film in and try it out. From the quote you put up it seems the S2 might wind more turns than an S2a. As far as the price goes, I think you are in the ball park, mostly due to the additional items, especially the wide angle lens. You might want to lower the price to just under $500 to see if that gets more interest. Or you could split a few items up, the wide lens should go for ~$150 if there are no issues with it.
I just know that the resistance you feel near the end of wind and the clack heard when you force the winder past the resistance is a completely normal thing with S2a cameras. Bob.

P.S. Oops, I just re-read the ad and I have to say that the mirror occasionally needing to be helped into place could be the sticking factor to selling this. You might get ahold of Dave Easterwood in Michigan or another Tech that can repair Bronicas and get a price on fixing that issue. Bob.

NEW LOWER PRICE

After all things considered, and taking into account various people's suggestions, I have decided to lower the price to $400 for everything shown, including shipping in CONUS.

Thanks! Yeh, I lowered the price... I wasn't sure of a good, fair price, but I lowered everything (including the wide angle lens) to $400, including shipping in CONUS.

I need to get rid of this kit ASAP. I have lowered the price from $525, and I am now asking $360, including shipping in CONUS. Somebody pick this great deal up!

I had shaken hands with a buyer, and he asked me to hold it for him until the end of August, but I received a text today saying that he doesn't have the funds anymore... *sigh* so now I'm in a bit of a pickle. I just bought my dream Hasselblad 500 C/M kit, and I was counting on those funds. My loss is your gain!

I really need this Bronica kit gone this week. I have a table full of gear that I just want to get rid of; I'm just tired of seeing all the gear there. Somebody offer me $310 and I'll ship this to you within the CONUS.

Anybody have an idea of what a "basic" CLA will cost for this camera.?
Thank You
(if it is not appropriate to ask this question in his add, please let me know and I will Zap This right away)
