Hi all,

A friend of mine bought few months ago a mint 180mm lens for her Bronica Sq-Ai. While very happy with her purchase, she's still missing the impossible-to-find dedicated lens hood. Is there any useable alternative, still in Bronica's line, among the zooms shades that won't occur vignetting or should she bite the bullet and buy the shade dedicated to the 150mm lens, shorter than needed but still much better than nothing ? She's not interested in the Proshade S (too impractical) and in any other screw-in hoods.

Thanks for taking the time to reply,

Amine

Thank you for the link. I had a glance and the lens hood on their website seems to be the same "universal" one that I saw many times on Ebay :
http://cgi.ebay.com/Lens-Hood-Broni...m-200mm-B67-/360184063810?pt=Lens_Accessories

This shade is said to cover all the Bronica fix focal lenses from 80 to 250mm. I don't know if it could be very efficient as the 80mm angle of view (51°) is much wider than the 180mm's (24°) but what do I know ?

I'd still contact Koh's--they're down with all things Bronica. Just may be that a 150 hood will have to do--better than nothing unless your friend's willing to pony up the $ for the real deal.

I'll give it a try through email. Many thanks,

150 hood is used also for 105 lens, it even has the designation 105-150. I'd suppose that 180 and 250 lens share the same hood, just as 65 and 80 share the same hood.
