Hi !

I have a Bronica ETRS and a classic 120 back. I was wondering if I can find a 6x6 back. My actual back makes 645 photograph, I wanted to try another medium format.

Thank you for answer,
Guillaume.

you could just mask off the screen so its square and crop the images I was thinking of doing this, at least it would give you an idea of how you like it before spending lots of money on new kit, just an idea.

Try my hand isn't the good sentence : I already tried 6x6 with a Rolleiflex. I really love this format. So I was wondering. I think I like this format more than 645...

Thank you for answer !

Indeed, no 6x6 back for the ETR line, the only 2 other backs available are the 135N and the 135W, Both work on 35mm film, the W stands for wide and takes a wider picture on 35mm film (24mm x 54mm).

It should be easy and not too expensive to sell your 645 outfit and buy the equivalent in 6x6. There's lots of Bronica stuff on eBay.

Its not just a question of Bronica not making a 6x6 back for the ETRs. The 645 lenses won't have a big enough image circle to support a 6x6 image unless you like dark corners. Also why would Bronica design and launch both a 6x6 and 645 system if you could get identical results from the smaller and cheaper of them?

Eee... I WANT one of these! That sounds awesome. 24 x 54! Neat.

The only problem is that you also need the special groundglass with the lines to use it. The setup pops up from time to time on the bay but it goes quite some money.

It's maybe the best idea, I think about, but at the moment I have not see cheap 6x6 Bronica (and I don't speak about the Blad's !)
Now I know that I have to think before buying a camera. I dreamed to have a 6x6, and because I didn't find, I took a 645, but at the final, I'm not keen on this format...
