Still in lockdown, getting my gear ready for the summer, did a test shot with my Brand 17. I bought it sometime in the 80s, at a swap meet at the old Phoenix Greyhound Track, don't even recall what I paid for it, made in L.A in the late 40s. I think Brand was out of business by 1949 or 70. I've seen pictures in old photo mags of it with a side mounted rangefinder, have no idea how it was camed to the lens. Has a side mounted handle, forged into the rear standard. For such an odd camera has a fair amount of movements, front and rear, rotating back, still light tight. On is a Kodak 152 Ektar, I have a commercial packed away I need to dig out. The image will not take, resized it, still getting an error message.

The side rangefinders I'm familiar with were mounted on press camera and they do not use cams. The Kalart and Hugo Meyer side rangefinders use a mechanical arm that links the camera's rail to the rangefinder operationing shaft.

Hugo Meyer rangefinders work and adjust similar to Kalart but are made for one lens focal length only so one will have to find a model made for their lens focal length. 127mm and 135mm were common and there may have been a 152mm version. The back of the rangefinder has a P number but I do not have a reference for them. Information on the Hugh Meyer Rangefinder is hard to come by as are the rangefinders.
I have some spare Kalarts but no arms.
